This filly was purchased at the recent Gold Coast Magic Millions sale from the same farm that produced Capitalist and Isotope, Daandine. This filly will a ladies only horse with the main aim for her is getting her back to the 2023 Gold Coast Magic Millions Raceday to scoop up some women’s only prize money bonus.

Sired by the Deep Field, a son of Northern Meteor. This stallion was a super fast horse holding a track record at Canterbury over 1100m and he also set a class record on debut – 1100m in 1:03.18. He won first 5 races straight by a combined margin of 24 lengths!!
He is the sire of Gr1 Oakleigh Plate winner Portland Sky, Isotope, Cosmic Force and our very own Quantum Mechanic. So far this year his yearlings have sold for up to $1,000,000, so we think we have bought great value with this filly. Deep Field also has excellent strike rate of his progeny winning on the track. Of his 354 starters, 235 have been individual winners and those winners have won a total of 527 races! With earnings of over $33 million.
Out of the dam Crossing The Abbey, she was a two-year-old winner over 1000m. She placed 2in in the Group Three Blue Diamond Preview and 4th in the Listed VRC Maribyrnong Trial. Only a new mare in the breeding barn this filly is her second foal and her first foal is a unnamed two-year-old filly by Capitalist.
This filly is now at Kolora Lodge where she will have a short spell before beginning her breaking in and education process. She will then spell, pre train, spell, pre train at Kolora and then make her way to our Cranbourne stables where Mick and Michael will assess her and map out a plan for her.
This filly was purchase for $340,000. Purchase includes purchase of the horse, pre sale vetting (x-rays and scope), 12 months insurance, Magic Millions Race Series, post sale scope, video, transport, breaking in and education, one months agistment and GST.
