On the track, Per Incanto had 6 wins as a 2YO. Of his 13 starts, he had six wins and a second, he then retired to stud where he has really excelled.
Sired by Per Incanto, he started his stud duties from modest beginnings, his service fee was first set at $4000 in 2011, Per Incanto rose to be champion first season sire by winners and runner-up in the 2YO premiership in 2014-15. A year later he was crowned champion 3YO sire by winners and champion second season sire by winners, defeating the decorated Savabeel for the former title.
Per Incanto produced two new Group One winners in 2019 with Shadows Cast and Santa Monica joining Dal Cielo as his top-flight success stories.
In Australia, one of his most successful progeny is Lost and Running, with earnings of over $2.3 million from only 13 starts.
This filly is scheduled to fly to Australia next week where she will be transported to John Ledgers to be broken in and educated.
