This colt was purchased from the recent Gold Coast Magic Millions Sale for $150k.
Wild Ruler is a son of Snitzel who was a Group 1 winner of the Moir Stakes & the first colt home in the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes. He was a winner of the Group 2 Arrowfield Sprint and the sire-making Group 2 Roman Consul, also won by the likes of Russian Revolution, Zoustar, Fastnet Rock, Exceed And Excel, etc. Wild Ruler was also a pre-Christmas debut winner of the Listed Inglis Nursery race. He amassed over $2.4million in prize money!!
Only new to the breeding barn, as of August 1st his oldest progeny are now 2YO’s. At the 2025 yearling sales his first yearlings have sold for $350,000, NZ$380,000, $320,000, $250,000, $220,000. So we were pretty happy to get our colt for $150k.
The colt has been at our Cranbourne stables now for just over a week. As we think he is an early 2YO, he is named and ready to race. Part of the Magic Millions ladies scheme is that you have to have name and registrations done prior to racing so we needed to make sure we are on the ball with this one!

Dam MAKE MY OWN LUCK, a daughter of MM winner Bradbury’s Luck, was a black-type placed winner with one foal to race, recent Victorian winner Lucky Duck. Family of 19-time winner Ossie Cossie, Grey Regent (11 wins) and Natural Destiny (10 wins, $740k in p/m).
Purchase includes bloodstock, Magic Millions Race Series, Sales costs, Road Transport, 12 months mortality insurance, education, agistment, pre training and GST. This is all costs until the end of August.
