This athletic colt was purchased for the Inglis Premier Sale for $180k from the champion nursery farm of Newhaven Park. Other horses to be bred off this farm include Odeum, Shout The Bar, Assertive Lass and Champagne Cath to name a few.

Sired by Calyx, he is a son of Kingman and a grandson of Invincible Spirit. He stands at the global organisation of Coolmore and excelled on the race track with injury cutting his race career short.

Calyx won his maiden at Newmarket on debut by 5 lengths, earning TDN Rising Star status. He was extremely impressive in the Gr.2 Coventry Stakes defeating triple Gr.1 winner Advertise. He showed explosive speed in the Gr.3 Commonwealth Cup Trial Stakes.

Out of the dam Took, she is a daughter of Giant’s Causeway. She is the dam of three foals to race and all have been winners. The dam is a half sister to Black Type performers Sweet Orange and Intelligence Cross.
