What a beautiful moving sprinting colt by a remarkable stallion who has sired 20 individual Gr.1 winners Bivouac, Excelebration, Helmet, Reward For Effort, Earthquake, Microphone, Exceedance, Overreach, Guelph … the list goes on.

As of March 6 the former Australian champion sire and influential shuttle stallion Exceed And Excel  (son of Danehill), described as “an amazing horse from day dot”, has been retired from stud duties by Darley at the age of 23.

Conformation-wise we could try and forensically look for faults but there aren’t any. He’s a well put together, short coupled racy type with good feet, good fetlocks, good knees, nice deep girth and a sloping shoulder, all wrapped up in a rich chestnut coat.

He is bred on a similar cross to dual Gr1 winner, September Run. His dam, Scarlet Billows was a tough sprinting mare, successful at Gr.3 level and very competitive in quality races. She has already produced a Group performer with her only runner to date in Gleneagles.

He will be a get up and go early type of racehorse and all being equal should be the source of great fun for his new owners.

Purchase of this horse includes purchase of bloodstock, pre sale vetting, Inglis Race Series, 12 months insurance, photos/video, road transport, education, one months agistment and GST. This includes all costs until June 30.
