Introducing HIT SQUAD (IRE) – a 3yo Colt by Group1 stallion and Group1 producer – Kameko. 

Hit Squad is a very interesting prospect – having had only Two Starts for Two Very good seconds in the UK. 

He meets all of our criteria to make a good Australian racehorse and the form-lines around him are particularly strong. 

Bought for just 70,000 Guineas at the recent Tattersalls Horses In Training Sale – we think he was incredibly good value given his profile, type, and our data analysis on his sectionals.

The Tattersalls sale has, of course, been a happy hunting ground for Australians over the past decade where so many Group-winning graduates have been purchased. Only last year Sir Delius was purchased at this exact sale before winning the G1 Underwood and the G1 Turnbull Stakes. 

On debut, Hit Squad ran into a proper Group One colt named Cosmic Year (OR 114) who went on to win a Listed Race by 2L and then run 2nd in the G1 Irish Guineas. 

At Hit Squad’s 2nd start, where he also ran a good second, the winner was a very smart, potential group horse named Conscript (OR 92). Again at this run, Hit Squad recorded a very sharp final 400m sprint off a slow early pace. 

He is extremely un-tapped and has so much upside to improve as he matures, develops and strengthens with training and racing.

Hit Squad is booked to fly down on December 3rd where he will land in Melbourne and spend 2 weeks in quarantine before being released into our stable. 

Hit Squad vetted out as Low Risk with a good Grade 1 scope by our Australian vet on the ground Dr Rob McInnes. This was a good result as a lot of the horses we vetted in this sale had findings.
