Maurice X Timeless Choice Filly

This filly was purchased at the Gold Coast Magic Millions for $200k.

This is a strong, above averge sized filly we were very keen on securing, particularly with the connection to Lankan Rupee.

She is a racy, athletic type who we feel will get up and go as a sprinting 2yo but would not surprise us if she were to train on and get over a little more ground as she gets older… something like a Thousand Guineas perhaps.

Wonderfully put together, she is a lovely physical specimen and has her share of sass too, which is what we like to see in our fillies.

Maurice was a mighty racehorse and many will know him as the sire of Gr1 winners, Hitotsu and Mazu in Australia. He also has produced Gr1 winners in Japan and Hong Kong and many Gr2, Gr3 and Listed Race successes.

This filly hails from our favourite family, being out of Timeless Choice, a sister to Lankan Rupee, the star we trained to 5 Gr.1 victories. Timeless Choice has a 100% strike rate with her 3 foals to race so far incl. the ill-fated Count De Rupee who amassed more than $2.6mil in his 21 start career.

We are looking forward to seeing this girl at 4am every morning and hope she can get the job done on the track, to continue the legacy of this pedigree. Won’t she be worth something if that happens!

The filly has been transported to Newington Farm approximately an hour from the sales complex to have 7 days off and will then begin her education. She will then spell for 6 weeks, pre train, spell, pre train and then make her way down to Cranbourne around May/June.
