This gelding was purchased at the recent New Zealand Bloodstock Ready To Run auction for NZ$75k.
Sired by Ribchester, he is a son of Iffraaj. Ribchester was Europe’s Champion Miler at 3YO & 4YO. With four G1 wins at the mile, including the Queen Anne Stakes in record time, Ribchester’s 16 start career saw him start 15 times at Group Level, 11 of those at G1 level with a further six G1 placings added to his tally.
Relatively new to the breeding barn, Ribchester retired to stud in 2018. Ribchester is the sire of 19 stakes performers including nine individual stakes winners. His first crop of three-year-olds have just over a 60% winners/runners strike rate and an 11% stakes horses to runners ratio.
This gelding is scheduled to fly over to Melbourne next week on November 29. He will then spell at Kingshaven Farm for 6 weeks and then commence pre training. After that he will come into our Cranbourne Stables and begin his racing career.
Out of the Thunder Gulch mare, Tully Thunder, she was very successful on the track winning over $420,000, including the Group One Australasian Oaks. She has also been successful in the breeding barn having 9 foals to race and 6 of those winners.
Purchase includes purchase price, pre sale vetting (x rays and scope), post sale scope, Bio Data, Air Freight, road transport, Studbook Import fees, agistment until the end of December, 12 months insurance and GST.
This includes all costs until the end of December, nothing more to pay until the end of January 2024.
