Purchased at last weeks Inglis Easter sale is this striking grey filly by the seriously inform sire Toronado!
Toronado is just about bombproof. He stamps his progeny with the good, tough stuff and this filly is no exception. Of the 367 Toronado fillies to hit the racetrack, 227 of those have been individual winners and those winners have won have won a total of 544 races! His best current filly racing in Melbourne is Shesallshenanigans winning just under a million in prize money!
An extremely fast son of High Chaparral, he can produce sprinters, milers and beyond. This filly, out of a sprinting mare and will hopefully touch the realms of Gr1 winning sprinters by Toronado such as MASKED CRUSADER, MARIAMIA, SHELBY SIXTYSIX etc.
He just keeps getting winners, in the Northern and Southern Hemisphere!!

She is very similar in the mould of her mother, a mare called Orvieto, a daughter of Testa Rossa. Mick trained Orvieto and believes she was of Stakes class had she been able to live up to her potential, instead of having her promising career cut short through injury. Orvieto had 5 starts for three wins over 1100m to 1200m.
Orvieto has proven herself as a broodmare having produced 2 to race – both winners. BONVICINI was successful at Gr3 level as well as in Listed company and also found the placings in six Gr2 and Gr3 races. Pizarro is a three time city winner with earnings to date in excess of $400k.
She will be a particular prudent purchase for anyone wanting to race in Victoria being VOBIS SILVER and VOBIS SIRES bonus eligible.
A mid-November foal she is still a long way from the finished article but is sound structurally, everything is where it should be and we look forward to seeing the upside.
Purchase of this horse includes purchase of bloodstock, pre sale vetting, Inglis Race Series, 12 months insurance, photos/video, road transport, education, one months agistment and GST. This includes all costs until June 30.
The filly has been transported to Nathan Dunn’s at Bayles to start her education.
